Jay-Z and Beyonce clear up Havana Trip controversy

Beyonce and Jay-Z’s recent visit to Havana was fully licensed and authorized by the United States Treasury department.
Officials prepared a statement on the power couple’s recent Cuban holiday after Republican lawmakers, who claimed that the trip was illegal, made complaints.
The couple was reportedly in Cuba to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary.
For more than 50 years the United States has forbidden its citizens from visiting Cuba. However, it is not technically illegal to citizens to travel to the country, but it is illegal for them to spend money there without special dispensation from the United Treasury.
