Superstar dancehall artist Alkaline will headline a concert in Dominica in May. That may not come as a surprise but what is surprising is that he received the green light from Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerritt.
Skerritt said that unless there is a security risk, Alkaline can’t be prevented from performing in Dominica. The dancehall artist isn’t the first Jamaican to receive criticism and scrutiny in Dominica; Tommy Lee Sparta and three other members of his entourage were deported in February of last year.
The concert scheduled for May 2nd at the Saaman Gardens in Canefield is expected to draw big crowds and is sure to be one of the best shows in Dominica this year.
