BCCI can terminate two suspended IPL teams, says panel headJuly 16, 2015
After the suspension against two teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the head of the disciplinary panel has something to clear up. Former chief justice Rajendra Lodha says the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can shut down the Chennai Super Kings and the Rajasthan Royals if they wish, responding to confusion over what action India’s cricket board can take. The owners of CSK and the Royals were suspended for two years in a corruption probe, with a lifetime ban against Royals co-owner Raj Kundra and CSK official Gurunath Meiyappan.
