Benn named Windies player of the year in awards ceremony

The West Indies Players Association (WIPA) and the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) held the annual Players’ Award ceremony for 2013/14 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, and Sulieman Benn was named the Windies player of the year. Big Benn picked up 28 wickets in five Tests between October 2013 and September last year. Kraigg Brathwaite was named the Test player of the year, and the ODI player award went to Denesh Ramdin, Jermaine Blackwood was the emerging player of the year, Samuel Badree got the T20 International title, and for the ninth time in a row, Stafanie Taylor was named the West Indies female player of the year.
