Legendary Blues singer B.B. King was forced to cancel the remainder of this current tour after falling ill following his show on October 3rd at Chicago’s House of Blues. King had eight gigs left on his current trek, including stops at his namesake B.B. King Blues Club in New York.
The 89-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was immediately evaluated by a doctor and diagnosed with dehydration and suffering from exhaustion. No other details about King’s condition were revealed, and according to the singer’s site, there are no dates scheduled for the rest of 2014.
King suffers from Type II diabetes, a condition he’s lived with for two decades.
