Bolt saddened by doping harming athletics world’s reputationAugust 20, 2015
Usain Bolt says he’s disappointed by the strong focus on doping in athletics. The Jamaican track champion is prepared to race at the IAAF World Championships against Justin Gatlin, who was twice suspended for doping. Bolt himself has never failed a drug test, but he admits to media that even he can’t erase the sport’s bad reputation by himself. Bolt will try to retain his 100m and 200m titles at the World Championships, starting this Saturday in Beijing. Meanwhile, the IAAF, with their newly elected president Sebastian Coe, has been accused of turning a blind eye to doping.
