Gravity Takes Number One Spot 3rd Week In A Row
This weekend at the box office Gravity keeps on floating above the competition for the third straight week, keeping its number one spot and racking in $31.0 million.

Carrie the horror film takes third place, making $17.0 million in its opening week. The movie is a remake of the 1976 film based on the Stephen King novel with the same name. To summarize the movie, Carrie played by Chloe Moretz has grown into a socially awkward teen because of her mother’s extreme religious beliefs. Due to her awkwardness, she is bullied by her high school peers and one day Carrie realizes she has telekinetic abilities. She uses her new powers to gain revenge on her high school bullies.
The family movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball rolls into fourth place, its fourth week pulling in $10.1 million.
Last but not least, Escape Plan draws in $9.8 million its opening weekend. The action thriller is about two inmates Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger who team up to break out of an extremely high-tech, high-security prison.
