‘The Croods’ triumphs this week’s Box Office

The animated prehistoric adventure The Croods took the top spot this weekend at the box office with $44.7 million.
 
In second place this week is the White House terrorist thriller Olympus Has Fallen. In its debut weekend the movie has brought in $30.5 million
 
Slipping to third this week was last week’s box office champ Oz the Great and Powerful, which earned $22 million in its third weekend. To date the movie is 2013’s most successful with a total of $177.6 million.
 
Moving down from the number two spot last week is the Halle Barry thriller, The Call which brought in $8.7 million. The film has made $30.9 million to date.
 
Rounding out the top five is the new Tina Fey and Paul Rudd comedy, Admission. The film brought in $6.4 million.
