Dancehall reggae artist Busy Signal couldn’t have picked a more perfect name because this man is busy! The artist recently launched his Busy 2020 Helping Hands Foundation at the Jewel Dunn’s River Resort in St. Ann, Jamaica, and first on his to-do list is to buy desperately needed medical equipment for the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital.
The dancehall artist’s foundation intends on purchasing an X-ray machine and he says “I always wanted to give back and I always wanted to do it on a wider scale.” The hospital’s X-Ray department gets about 30 thousand patients yearly and the new machine will decrease wait times significantly. Busy says he’ll be having a show to raise funds for further equipment but to start them off on the right foot MP Dayton Campbell for North East St. Ann has pledged 100 thousand dollars towards the foundations first project.
This isn’t Busy’s first leap into being a good citizen; he’s also donated computers to Brown’s Town Secondary High School.
