Butt, Asif to play for Pakistan again under stiff PCB conditionsAugust 25, 2015
Pakistan cricketers Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif are free to play again after their ban for spot-fixing is lifted September 2 – but there are some conditions. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has ordered the two men to take an educational course on corruption, and go through psychological programs, among other things. Butt and Asif were banned by the ICC in 2010 in a spot-fixing case from a Test match that year between Pakistan and England. Another player, Mohammad Amir, was also banned; he was allowed back into domestic cricket in January.
