Calabar's Lamar Reid makes record high jump in Jamaica Champs

In the Champs competition out of Jamaica, Calabar’s Lamar Reid jumped 1.99m to set a new record in the Class Three boys’ high jump, edging the old record of 1.98 by another Calabar athlete, Ryan Chambers, back in 1993. Other results:
Class Three long jump: Michael Beecher, Jamaica College – 6.04m
Class One triple jump: Carey McLeod, Garvey Maceo – 13.94m
Class One 1500m: Paul Tate, St. Elizabeth – 4:02.98
Class Two 1500m: Denvare Robinson, Holmwood Tech – 4:12.39
400m hurdles open: Norman Pittersgill, Calabar – 53.77 sec
Triple jump open: Tamara Moncrieffe, Holmwood Tech – 13.92m
Javelin throw open: Ayesha Champagnie, St. Andrew Tech – 47.73m
Class Four high jump: Sydnie Montague, St. Andrew High – 1.55m
Class Two discus throw: Coya Christie, Wolmer’s High – 34.28m
Class Three discus throw: Shamella Donaldson, Rusea’s High – 32.47m
Class One high jump: Gayle-anna Oswald, Central High – 1.60m
Class Three 1500m: Tameria Howell, St. Mary High – 4:44.54
400m hurdles open: Britaney Duncan, Hydel High – 59.85 sec
