Canadian Pilot Program To Fast Track Work Permits Non-Landed Immigrants

Dec 23, 2014 | National | 0 comments

Canada has implemented a pilot program which will allow the spouses of Canadians to obtain work permits more quickly.

The aim of the one-year initiative is to help Canadian families become more cohesive, while applications for permanent residency are being processed. Benefits of the program allow applicants to work legally in Canada for an employer for a specified period of time and applicants may also receive inclusion of health coverage.

Those who have already been waiting for an extended period of time might see their residency applications processed within a matter of weeks, while new applications may take up to four months.
