CBC has selected Canadian rapper Shad as the replacement for Jian Ghomeshi on the cultural affairs radio show Q. The network says they were seeking a forward and original thinker, and they believe they got one in Shad.     The 32-year old rapper hails from London, Ontario where he also received a business degree from Wilfred Laurier University. Shad, who has drawn attention for his electric personality, also won a 2011 Juno for best Rap Recording.   Executive director of CBC Radio Talk, Cindy Witten says that management observed over 200 potential candidates. Shad announced that he’s honoured to join the Q team and says his mission is to make a positive contribution to culture and people’s lives.   Source: CBC.ca/Image: patbolduc.com
