The government of Uganda is in the process of importing Chinese teachers to train Ugandan teachers in the Chinese language.

This effort is aimed at introducing the Chinese language into the country’s school curriculum.

The National Curriculum Development Centre has also approved the Chinese language as part of the school curriculum and “very soon” Secondary School students will be given the choice of studying Chinese as a language option.

The new curriculum will be rolled out in the beginning of 2018 in the selected secondary schools across the country.
