Cholera outbreak a major concern at Kenyan refugee camp

The UN Refugee Agency says a culmination of issues, including excess rain, has exacerbated a cholera outbreak at a major refugee site in Kenya. More than one thousand have become sick from cholera at the Dadaab complex, which hosts nearly 350,000 refugees and asylum seekers, the majority of them from Somalia. The water-borne bacterial illness was blamed for at least 10 deaths since November. Dadaab is said to be the world’s largest site for displaced people.
