Clippers owner Donald Sterling lashes out at Magic Johnson in new interview

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has now managed to stir up a new dispute, this time with NBA legend Magic Johnson. Sterling sat down with CNN’s Anderson Cooper for a one-on-one yesterday, and this time he repeated several disparaging comments about Johnson’s HIV-positive status, saying he is not a positive role model for children. To his credit, Cooper tried to bring up Johnson’s accomplishments and corrected Sterling, saying Johnson was HIV-positive but he doesn’t have “full-blown AIDS”. Johnson, who is scheduled to appear on the show today, wrote on his Twitter account, saying “I’d rather be talking about these great NBA playoffs than Donald Sterling’s interview”. Johnson is rumoured to have an interest in buying the LA Clippers, something Sterling is dead set against. The NBA will now discuss the process on how to force Sterling to sell his ownership of the Clippers.
