Not Everything Is for Everyone

The Parkers and Moesha actress Countess Vaughn was a guest on the CBS show “The Doctors” to talk about her disturbing experience wearing lace front wigs.
After 5 years of being addicted she realized she developed a sever scalp infection.
“I was wearing it 24/7. Five years later the drama came in. The red flag was the oozing from my ears, from my forehead…the whole nape around my head. The puss. It had a horrible smell. It was painful. I let this go by for six months. What I didn’t realize was, I had a bad reaction to the glue that I used to apply the wig. My hair started falling out.”
She ignored the matter for 6 months before consulting a dermatologist. It was then the actress learned that she had a bad reaction to the glue used to apply the wig, which led to her hair falling out.
Since then Countess claims that she desires to be natural and is teaching her little one to love herself first.
This is interesting considering that during the interview she had a full head of weave on.
Watch her testimony here.
