The hits keep on coming from Chris Gayle; this time he blasted a century to give the Jamaica Tallawahs a 50-run victory over the T&T Red Steel at Sabina Park in Kingston. Gayle, the Tallawahs captain and man of the match, gave the hometown crowd something to cheer about, smashing 105 off just 57 deliveries, with 6 fours and 9 sixes, for his side’s score of 180/6 from 20 overs. Red Steel bowler Sulieman Benn picked up 2/19 from 3. In response, the Red Steel never quite caught up, losing wickets rather quickly for a total of 130/9 from 20 overs. Jacques Kallis is the top-scorer with 46. As for the Tallawahs’ bowling: Krishmar Santokie 3/27 from 4, Daniel Vettori 2/22 from 4, Jerome Taylor 2/21 from 3.
