The Red Steel's score of 178/5 from 20 overs included a 2nd wicket stand of 102 between wicketkeeper/player of the match Kamran Akmal 60 and Cameron Delport 50. Tridents skipper Kieron Pollard picked up 2/28 from 4 overs, and Rayad Emrit 2/25 from 4 overs. The Tridents failed to defend their title in their reply of 158/4 from 20 overs. Opener Dwayne Smith hit 49 off 30 deliveries with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Red Steel bowler Sulieman Benn took 2/24 from 4 overs. Red Steel captain Dwayne Bravo took the man-of-the-series title.
