It’s all thanks to a century by Tillakaratne Dilshan that Sri Lanka levelled the series 1-all; they defeated New Zealand by 6 wickets in the 2nd ODI match at Hamilton. Kiwi captain Brendon McCullum provided the only impressive batting from his side; McCullum’s 117 pulled the New Zealanders to 248 all out. Bowling for Sri Lanka, Sachithra Senanayake took 2/55 from 10 and Rangana Herath took 2/36 from 10. In reply, Sri Lanka made 252/4 from 47.4 overs. Dilshan, the man of the match, made a century of his own, batting 116. New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry picked up 2/34 from 9.4 overs. The 7-match series is level at 1 match apiece.
