Dislocated thumb leaves Ansari’s England Test debut in limboSeptember 16, 2015
Just hours after his first ever Test call-up for England’s series against Pakistan, the 23-year-old Surrey allrounder Zafar Ansari injured his thumb while fielding in day two of a County Championship match against Lancashire. The injury is confirmed to be an open dislocation, and will be assessed in the coming days. Still, Ansari hopes to make his Test debut as the Three Lions head to the UAE for training on September 30; the three-Test series starts October 13.
