Dr. Dre announced today that he’ll be donating all the royalties earned on his “Compton: A Soundtrack” album will go to help fund a new performing arts and entertainment facility in his hometown.
“I feel it’s the right thing to do and I hope everybody appreciates the work I put into this album.” said Dre.
Dre’s anticipated album “Detox” has been officially scrapped due to the six-time Grammy Award winner admitting defeat. “I didn’t like it,” he conceded during his radio show on Beats 1, the Apple Music station. “I don’t think I did a good enough job.”
The 16 track album features hip hop greats such as Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and rapper/former colleague, Ice Cube.
