By now you’ve all heard about Dwayne Wade who made international headlines this weekend in Game 3 of the NBA playoff series, between the Miami Heat and our Toronto Raptors.

During the singing of the Canadian national anthem, the Heat guard continued to take warm-up shots.

In response to Canadian outrage Wade stated the following: “You’re always sensitive to anything that goes around the world,” Wade told reporters. “I’m not thinking about nothing like that. I’m thinking about what I need to do before every game that I prepare for and have been doing my whole career.

“I understand whatever’s said from that standpoint, but I’m not a disrespectful person,” Wade continued. “If anybody thinks I’m being disrespectful to their country, then they have no idea who Dwyane Wade is. But we have to make an adjustment to our pregame ritual.
