YOU CAN NOW BE THE IKEA MONKEY
Still touched by the “Ikea monkey”?
Although Darwin’s 15 minutes of fame are over, those who are still interested in the coat-wearing monkey can now relive his experience from last December through a new videogame produced by a few Toronto game designers.
A Seneca College animation professor teamed up with his former students to create the game.
The game which took the team a week to create and is set in an Ikea parking lot and features the coat-wearing monkey as he is tasked with navigating the parking lot which is littered with bananas and obstacles to collect parts for a shelf.
As his online life counterpart is having fun, the real life Darwin’s case is still in the courts as its owner is looking to regain custody of the monkey after he was confiscated by animal services back in December.
