England rally to level ODI series against New Zealand

England levelled the series 2-2, beating New Zealand by 7 wickets at the 4th ODI inside Trent Bridge. New Zealand made 349/7 from 50 overs; Kane Williamson surpassed 3000 ODI runs in his career with 90. Other scores: Grant Elliott 55 not out, Martin Guptill 53, Mitchell Santner 44, Ross Taylor 42. Bowling for England, David Willey 2/89 from 10 overs, Ben Stokes 2/73 from 10 overs. The hosts shot back with 350/3 from 44 overs, featuring a 3rd wicket partnership of 198 between skipper Eoin Morgan 113 and Joe Root unbeaten on 106. Morgan’s century was made off 82 balls with 12 fours and 5 sixes, and so he was the player of the match. Also, Alex Hales made 67. Bowling for the Kiwis, Matt Henry took 2/77 from 10 overs. The 5th and final match takes place Saturday at Chester-le-Street.
