The host country Equatorial Guinea has been fined 100,000 dollars for rioting from the fans during their 3-0 semifinal loss to Ghana. Home supporters were throwing things on the field; 36 people were injured. The Confederation of African Football says Saturday’s 3rd place match (Equatorial Guinea vs the DRC) and Sunday’s final (Ghana vs Ivory Coast) will go ahead as planned, but fans could be punished if it happens again there.
