It’s taken 17 long years, but a Jamaican female reggae artist has topped Billboard’s Reggae album chart once again. Roots reggae singer Etana and her fourth studio album I Rise by VP Records, stole the number one spot on the U.S charts!
Etana is only one of three Jamaican female artists to claim the title, Diana King and Patra topped the charts in the mid90s. Currently on tour in the U.S with Cocoa Tea and deejay Louie Culture, Etana is ecstatic about the news and she says she’s grateful to all her American fans for buying her album.
With her full band, she’ll celebrate her new album release party in New York on November 17 at SOBs, but before that, she’s got stops in Palm Beach and Orlando Florida!
