Swiss authorities have gone all the way up to FIFA’s number one; they’ve opened a criminal investigation against the organization’s president Sepp Blatter. He’s being investigated “on suspicion of criminal mismanagement as well as – alternatively – on suspicion of misappropriation.” Blatter was questioned and his office was searched as part of the probe, and what’s more, UEFA boss Michel Platini has also been implicated in the proceedings. This comes after FIFA announced the dates for the 2022 World Cup, which runs from November 21 to December 18 in Qatar.
