FIFA has postponed its 2026 World Cup bidding process due to the corruption scandal, and specifically over the bids for 2018 and 2022. Secretary general Jérôme Valcke says it won’t make sense to decide now given the current climate, and so no decision will take place until May 2017 in Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile, Swiss police seized information from FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich, and some of the data involves outgoing President Sepp Blatter.
