Finally the Herbs Come Around!
At the start of the New Year, Colorado residents could purchase recreational marijuana without breaking the law.
On Wednesday Colorado residents eagerly lined up at the 24 shops across the state to purchase up to an ounce of pot (non-residents can acquire up to a quarter ounce). A profit of $1 million was made on the first day of sales.
Colorado officials expect first-year sales to reach $578 million and sales tax revenue to reach $67 million.
According to The New York Post, tour companies are introducing “pot tourism” which consists of trips across the state line visiting marijuana dispensaries…The thirst is real.
Before heading over to Colorado to light it up, keep in mind that smoking in public is not permitted!
