Former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford will lie in state at Toronto City Hall next Monday and Tuesday, while his funeral is set for Wednesday, March 30 at the St. James Cathedral.

The visitation will be open to the public from 10 am to 6 pm on Monday and 7:30 am to 9:30 pm on Tuesday. On Wednesday the funeral procession from city hall to the cathedral will begin at 10:30 am. The service is set to begin at noon.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Dan Jacobs said “Coun. Ford’s family wishes to express their gratitude for the thousands of messages of support they have received from around the world. As difficult as it is to say goodbye, they would like to do so in the same manner in which he lived his life, by sharing it with the people.”

Councillor Ford died yesterday after an 18-month struggle with cancer, he was 46.
