Former West Indies Cricket Board president Dr. Julian Hunte is due to be knighted. The St. Lucia government announced that the knighthood will be given for Hunte’s contribution to St. Lucia and to the Caribbean at large in terms of sports, politics and diplomacy. Hunte, who led the WICB from 2007 to 2013, is the third president of the board to be knighted after the late Sir Clyde Walcott and Sir Wesley Hall.
