Eastern Cape, South Africa – An increase of over a 90% rise in residence fees causes mayhem amongst students at the famous Fort Hare University, where Nelson Mandela and Robert Magube once studied.
Over twenty students were arrested for public violence, then released after Monday’s protests at the school’s campus.
The university ‘s vice-chancellor, Mvuyo Tom says that the nearly one hundred year old institution may be forced to close in the event that the violent protests continue.
