Goal-line technology to be used at Women's World Cup

FIFA has confirmed that the 2015 Women’s World Cup in Canada will have goal-line technology. It’s the first time the technology will be used at the biggest event in women’s soccer. This innovation comes after FIFA was accused of gender discrimination for using artificial turf in the women’s game but not in the men’s game. The event kicks off June 6 at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, with the final on July 5 at Vancouver’s BC Place.
