Guptill, Latham set up 10-wicket win for New ZealandAugust 4, 2015
Martin Guptill and Tom Latham plotted New Zealand’s revenge on Zimbabwe, and in a remarkable way. The Kiwis levelled the 3-match series 1-1 after beating the hosts by 10 wickets at the 2nd ODI at Harare. Sikandar Raza’s unbeaten 100 brought Zimbabwe to 235/9 from 50 overs. New Zealand bowler Ish Sodhi picked up 3/38 from 10, and Grant Elliott took 2/27 from 6. The Kiwis made their country’s highest opening stand in their chase of 236. Martin Guptill on 116 and Tom Latham on 110 left the Zimbabweans baffled with 236 without loss. Both openers shared the player-of-the-match title for their record partnership. The 3rd and final ODI takes place in Zimbabwe’s capital on Friday.
