The hip hop community has rallied together to speak out against injustice in the wake of Michael Brown’s shooting death in Ferguson.
This week the Game released the song  “ Don’t shoot” with fellow hip hop stars Diddy, Rick Ross and 2 Chainz and others on the album. Sales from the song will go towards the Mike Brown Memorial Fund on gofundme, so far its raised 300 thousand dollars in two weeks. Brown, the unarmed 18 year  old who was shot to death by a white police officer on Aug 9, was an aspiring rapper himself.
One of the most powerful rappers Public Enemy’s Chuck D said in an interview recently about the residents of Ferguson saying “ these people have actually stood up..and that has to be saluted.” He went on to say he’s impressed with J.Cole who released the song “ Be Free” inspired by Brown.
