Losing City’s Landmarks
At the request of Toronto nostalgics, history buffs and pretty much anyone who’ll miss the store before it’s replaced with condos, Honest Ed’s is selling their iconic, hand-painted signs in a blowout sale on today at 11am.
Honest Ed’s invited media types in for a preview of the sale and a little early celebration of the iconic store’s history.
Wayne Reuben and Douglass Kerr, the employees responsible for the signage, were hired to be full time sign painters in 2014. Today both employees will be demonstrating their work during the celebration sale.
Honest Ed is scheduled to close on December 31st, 2016.
