India batsman Virender Sehwag is retiring from the international game. Sehwag broke the news on Twitter on his 37th birthday, adding that he’ll also retire from the Indian Premier League. Sehwag has already committed to the Masters Champions League, a T20 tournament for retired players based in the UAE. Considered one of India’s best opening batsmen, Sehwag scored over 17,000 runs in 104 Tests, 251 ODIs and 19 T20s. Not only that, he’s the only Indian batsman to score 2 triple-centuries in the Test format, plus he has picked up 136 wickets as an offspinner.
