IPL 2015: Gayle century gives RCB strong win

Chris Gayle hit a devastating century to give Royal Challengers Bangalore their biggest victory yet, as they crushed Kings XI Punjab by 138 runs. The West Indies star player hit a massive 117 off 57 balls, with 12 sixes and 7 fours, giving RCB a total of 226/3 from 20 overs. Gayle was well supported by captain Virat Kohli 32 for an opening partnership of 119. AB de Villiers added 47 not out. Bowling for Kings XI, Sandeep Sharma took 2/41 from 4 overs. On the other hand, Kings XI’s hope faded away as they were bowled out for just 88, despite an unbeaten 40 from Axar Patel. Two RCB bowlers did the damage: Mitchell Starc 4/15 from 4, and Sreenath Aravind 4/27 from 4. Gayle was named the man of the match.
