The rain clearly didn’t stop Sunrisers Hyderabad; captain David Warner broke his own record as his side beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 16 runs via Duckworth/Lewis. Warner, the man of the match, hit 91 off 33 balls, the highest figure by a Sunrisers batsman, the old record being 90 also by Warner. Shikhar Dhawan added 54 to the total. Bowling for KKR, Morne Morkel took 2/31 from 4 overs. Kolkata were set a revised target of 118 in their unsuccessful reply of 101/4 from a reduced 12 overs, with a top score of 34 from wicketkeeper Robin Uthappa.
