The downward spiral of Allen Iverson continues.
Allen Iverson, the once great NBA guard is having one of the worst weeks ever.
After being called one of the worst parents around by a judge, the former NBA superstar recently lost his mansion in Atlanta in a foreclosure auction.
Iverson allegedly failed to pay anything towards the $1.2 million mortgage. His failure to make a payment resulted in the foreclosure of the mansion.
This comes after an Atlanta family judge recently slammed Iverson for his lack of parenting skills writing that:
“[Iverson] does not know how to manage the children; has little interest in learning to manage the children and has actually, at times, been a hindrance to their spiritual and emotional growth and development. For example, he has refused to attend to an obvious and serious alcohol problem, which has caused him to do inappropriate things in the presence of the children while impaired. He has left the children alone without supervision. He has left his young daughters in a hotel room with men who are unknown to the mother.”
After that, the judge gave physical and legal custody of the children to Iverson’s ex-wife. Iverson does get visitation rights but only if he abides by a set of conditions made by the judge. Some of these conditions are that Iverson must remain alcohol free for the next year and a half.
The judge also ordered Iverson to begin seeing a therapist and attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
