Jamaica boys win medals in Carifta Games relay, javelin events

Jamaica won the under-20 boys’ 4x100m relays at the Carifta Games in St. Kitts. The Jamaican squad ran 40.39 seconds, getting past the Bahamas with 40.41 seconds, and Trinidad & Tobago in third with 40.55 seconds. Kevin Nedrick of Jamaica took silver in the under-18 javelin event with 65.09m, behind T&T’s Tyriq Hosford, the new record holder with 70.73m. This is Nedrick’s second silver medal since a result of 17.44m in the shot put on Saturday.
