Jamaican/Canadian Indie Film “Destiny” Heading to USA Screens Next Week!

It’s being called the “longest running film at the box office in Jamaican history,” and now “Destiny” will be screening in the USA!
The film, directed by Jeremy Whitaker, tells the story of a woman named Lisa Pullen, played by lead actress Karian Sang, as she goes on a journey of self-discovery after the death of her parents and a break-up with her boyfriend. Lisa makes a trip to Jamaica to sell land that she inherited, and from there she not only learns more about her family’s past, she also finds herself falling in love.
“Destiny” also stars Christopher Martin, comedian Ian ‘Ity’ Ellis and female entertainer Spice. It boasts a masterful portrayal of Jamaican culture and music through its creative storyline and an entertaining soundtrack. Destiny will be screening Monday March 30th at the Miramar Cultural Centre in Miramar, Florida.
