It’s Official!

Jimmy Fallon will replace Jay Leno as host of the Tonight Show.
Leno congratulated Jimmy in a news release. “I hope you’re as lucky as me and hold onto the job until you’re the old guy. If you need me, I’ll be at the garage.”
The Tonight Show will also move to New York City.
Leno has been the host of the Tonight Show for 22 years and has already “retired” once.
NBC did not say who would replace Fallon in his current time slot, which is right after the Tonight Show.
