Ken Griffey Jr. is headed to Cooperstown; the 13-time All Star was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame with a record-high 99.3 percent of support from the baseball writers’ electorate. Also elected was former Mets catcher Mike Piazza with 83 percent, the only other player to exceed the 75 percent requirement for election. Both Griffey and Piazza will be inducted in a ceremony on July 24.
