Grenadian powerhouse Kirani James was on top of the men’s 400m race at the Diamond League meet in Eugene, Oregon this weekend, finishing in 43.95 seconds. Also out of Eugene, Tyson Gay made the men’s 100m look easy with 9.88 seconds, Justin Gatlin won the men’s 200m with 19.68, and Britain’s Mo Farah took the men’s 10,000m title with 26 minutes 50.97 seconds. Jamaica’s own Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was in top form when she won the women’s 100m with 10.81; this more than makes up for her struggle running the same distance in the Shanghai race, won by Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare.
