Kohli and Rahul form partnership in India’s response to Australia

India’s captain Virat Kohli and fellow batsman Lokesh Rahul led a strong reply to Australia as the 4th Test at Sydney enters day 3. A 3rd wicket partnership of 141 was the key for Kohli with 140 not out and Rahul with 110. Rohit Sharma’s 53 was also part of India’s 1st innings score of 342/5 at close of play on day 3. Bowling for the Aussies, Mitchell Starc took 2/77 from 21, and Shane Watson took 2/42 from 15. Of course, India’s efforts follow Australia’s 1st innings score of 572/7 declared. India are behind by 230 runs with 5 wickets remaining.
