Lawrence Hill Award Spot on Canada's Walk of Fame!

Literature giant, Lawrence Hill, author of acclaimed novel made TV series, The Book of Negroes, will now be on Canada’s Walk of Fame!
 
The award winning novelist has been appointed to the prestigious Walk of Fame that honours Canadians who have achieved excellence in several areas including music, sports, innovation and literature. Hill and the other inductees will have their names engraved on the stars that are embedded into the sidewalk near King St. West an Simcoe St. in Toronto on November 7th.
 
Hill however will be in Ottawa Oct 16th to receive the Governor’s General History Award for Popular Media, the Pierre Berton Award, and earlier this year he was named to the Order of Canada.
 
His most recent novel “The Illegal” launched in Toronto last month and there’s already talks for a TV show.
