One man is dead after being struck by a GO train this afternoon. Service along the Lakeshore West line was disrupted after the incident near Port Credit station in Mississauga before 3pm. Peel Regional Police say they have identified the victim as a 55-year-old man from Mississauga, and that they expect the coroner to arrive at the scene to conduct an investigation. Surveillance camera footage is also under review. GO transit said on Twitter that two tracks at Port Credit have re-opened, but there will be significant delays. Lakeshore East trains between Union Station and Oshawa have also been affected.
