Manitoba Woman Shutting Down Restaurant Following Discrimination

Restaurant Owner Is Fed Up!

A Jamaican owned restaurant in Manitoba made plans to shut down for good… because of racism in the small town of Morris.

Thea Morris owns the Caribbean restaurant, Thea’s Diner, and she says the problems began with a letter from the Klu Klux Klan back in September, but the final straw was receiving a racist email in response to a job ad she posted on Kijiji.

Gavin Van der Linde, Mayor of Morris, was not available for comment. Morris says the last few months has just killed her business.

This is the second restaurant to close down because of discrimination in this town.
